Home Staging Portfolio from Staged Upstate
Kitchen and Dining
The kitchen is the heart of the home. But it’s also the area that often accumulates the most clutter. In a vacant home, the kitchen often feels cold and sterile. With our creative staging, the space warms up and buyers can picture themselves having dinner around the table.
Pro tip! If you can’t clear all of the clutter off your counter because you need that morning coffee, corral your coffee pot and a couple of cute mugs on a tray instead of spreading it out on the countertop. Add in a small plant and voila! A cute vignette with purpose!
Living Room
Sofas, chairs, and sectionals - oh my! Furniture placement in a new home can be very challenging for homebuyers - especially if new furniture isn’t in the budget. Using creative staging to show how much space is actually in a living room is one of our specialties! Sometimes homes have awkward features that need to be overcome in a buyer’s mind. Our expert furniture placement, often grounded by a beautiful rug, can help prospective buyers visualize their furniture in a space - and move their needle from maybe to yes!
Pro tip! Struggling with how to make that corner fireplace make sense? Add a rug to ground your main furniture pieces and let the fireplace “float” in the background. BY doing so, you’ll create a cozy space ready for game night or watching your favorite show!
Bedroom
Will a king-sized bed fit in here? That’s a question I heard often when showing homes as a realtor. Buyers have a very difficult time determining room sizes when the room is empty. Contrary to popular belief - empty rooms actually feel smaller than they are! A carefully placed bed and nightstands along with art and accessories, is often all a buyer needs to be able to visualize their furniture in a bedroom.
Pro tip! Layering linens makes a bedroom feel super cozy! Keep the throw pillows to a minimum (we like to use 3 for a queen bed and 5 for a king!) and add in layers with an extra duvet and throw blanket.
Bathrooms
Some homeowners love their bathroom rugs. But when you’re trying to sell, these can be a real turnoff to buyers. Ditch the rugs and colorful towels and go for classic neutrals. We often bring in shower curtains, a couple of towels and a few accessories to make the bathroom feel luxurious.
Pro tip! Clear those counters! No buyer wants to see your electric toothbrush or nail clippers! Take a couple of extra minutes to stash those items in your vanity and keep the countertop clean with a simple accessory such as a small plant or decorative handheld mirror.
